Treatment Aftercare

Lash Extensions

Lash Tint Lift & Brow Laminations

Lash Extensions

To keep your eyelash extensions looking full, flawless, and long-lasting, correct aftercare is essential. Following these guidelines will help protect your natural lashes and ensure the best possible retention.

The First 24–48 Hours

This is the most important period for your lash extensions.

  • Avoid water, steam, swimming, saunas, and hot showers, heaters in cars for prolonged periods and hair dryers
  • Do not rub, touch, or pull at your lashes
  • Avoid makeup and skincare products around the eye area

This allows the adhesive to fully cure and bond correctly.

Daily Lash Care

  • Clean your lashes regularly using a lash-safe, oil-free cleanser - available to purchase at your appointment.
  • Gently pat dry or allow to air dry — never rub
  • Brush lashes daily with a clean spoolie to keep them neat and aligned

Clean lashes are key to long-lasting retention.

What to Avoid

  • Oil-based products near the eyes (cleansers, makeup removers, creams)
  • Waterproof mascara or strip lash adhesives
  • Rubbing or picking at extensions
  • Sleeping face-down or pressing lashes into pillows

Oils, friction, and excessive pressure are the most common causes of poor retention.

Makeup & Skincare

  • Use only lash-extension-safe makeup
  • Avoid eyeliner directly on the lash line where possible
  • Remove makeup gently using oil-free products

Retention & Maintenance

  • Infills are recommended every 2–3 weeks
  • Keep lashes clean and well maintained
  • Avoid excessive heat and steam
  • Always book professional removals — never pull lashes off

Healthy natural lashes result in better retention and fuller sets.

Natural Lash Shedding

It is completely normal to lose 2–5 natural lashes per eye per day as part of the natural lash growth cycle. This does not indicate poor application or retention

Proper aftercare is essential to soothe the skin, prevent irritation, and achieve the best results following your waxing treatment.

Immediately After Your Wax (First 24–48 Hours)

Your skin may be more sensitive during this time.

  • Avoid heat, hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and sun exposure
  • Do not exercise or engage in activities that cause excessive sweating
  • Avoid swimming (including pools, hot tubs, and the sea)
  • Wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent friction
  • Avoid touching or scratching the area

Mild redness or sensitivity is normal and should subside within 24–48 hours.

Skincare & Hygiene

  • Keep the area clean and dry
  • Avoid scented products, perfumes, deodorants, or harsh soaps on the treated area
  • Do not apply makeup to freshly waxed facial areas for at least 24 hours
  • Use only recommended soothing or calming products if needed

Exfoliation & Moisturising

  • Begin gentle exfoliation 48–72 hours after waxing to help prevent ingrown hairs
  • Exfoliate 2–3 times per week using a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt
  • Moisturise the area daily with a fragrance-free lotion to keep skin soft and hydrated

What to Avoid

  • Sunbeds or tanning products for at least 48 hours
  • Tight clothing that may cause irritation
  • Picking at the skin or ingrown hairs
  • Shaving between waxing appointments

Ingrown Hair Prevention

Regular exfoliation and moisturising are key to preventing ingrown hairs and maintaining smooth skin between appointments.

How Often to Wax

For best results, waxing is recommended every 4–6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle.

Normal Skin Reactions

Slight redness, bumps, or sensitivity are completely normal after waxing and usually settle within a short period. If irritation persists or worsens, please contact us for advice

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure long-lasting results and maintain the health of your brows and lashes.

First 24–48 Hours (Very Important)

During this period, the hair structure is still setting.

  • Keep brows and lashes completely dry
  • Avoid steam, saunas, swimming, hot showers, and excessive heat
  • Do not apply makeup, skincare, or oils to the treated area
  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or brushing the area
  • Do not sleep face-down or apply pressure

Failure to follow these instructions may affect the final result.

Daily Care After 48 Hours

  • Avoid oil-based products on the brows and lashes
  • Gently brush brows and lashes daily to maintain shape
  • Apply a nourishing serum or conditioner if recommended
  • Keep the area clean and dry

What to Avoid

  • Exfoliants, retinol, acids, or strong skincare products on or around the area
  • Excessive heat or steam
  • Rubbing or pulling at brows or lashes

Longevity & Maintenance

  • Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on hair growth and aftercare
  • Repeat treatments should be spaced correctly to avoid over-processing
  • Professional treatments only — do not attempt home removal or correction

Normal Reactions

  • Mild redness or sensitivity may occur and should subside quickly
  • Tint may appear darker immediately after treatment and will soften within 24–48 hours

Important Notes

  • Brow lamination and lash lift treatments are not recommended for those with very sensitive skin or certain eye conditions
  • Please inform your therapist of any irritation or concerns following your treatment
